Perth and Western Australian boarding schools

Western Australian boarding serves both metropolitan Perth (Claremont, Swanbourne, Guildford, Mount Lawley, Peppermint Grove) and long-distance regional families. Some listings are residential colleges rather than a single school — read the profile before you assume a campus.

Western Australian boarding serves both metropolitan Perth — Claremont, Swanbourne, Guildford, Mount Lawley, Peppermint Grove, Karrinyup — and long-distance regional families. Flight logistics from the north-west and the wheatbelt are part of the decision. Ask who meets the aircraft at term start.

Some listings are not conventional grammar houses. CAPS is an Aboriginal parent-directed Christian school movement. Rotary Residential College, if operating, is a residence for students at other Perth schools. Read the profile before you assume a single campus. We do not invent a house that we cannot show as a public fact.

Perth lists boys’, girls’ and co-ed houses across Anglican, Uniting, Presbyterian and Catholic traditions, plus regional options. Hale, Christ Church, PLC Perth, Methodist Ladies’ College, Penrhos, Guildford and Great Southern Grammar are names people already search. They are listings, not a PSA ranking.

Is Bunbury or Esperance a substitute for a Perth house? Only if the travel pattern fits. South-west and south-east campuses exist for families who do not want a metropolitan move. Provision can be smaller than Perth houses. Confirm current boarding before you plan a year around a closed residence.

Fees in Western Australia are not a single Perth band. Distance adds flights. Weekly board may be pointless if home is two time zones of travel away. Request the current domestic or overseas schedule and ask which nights are included.

International families still start with CRICOS. Perth houses that accept overseas boarders publish an international prospectus. This directory will not invent that package. Verify the provider code on the official register.

Scholarships and some remote-area supports exist. Ask whether boarding is included. Closing dates move. We do not administer awards.

Type × city ranking URLs for girls’, boys’ and co-ed Perth stay live as filters. This hub lists every published gender. `/list/` lists the country.

Saturday night still decides culture. A metropolitan house that empties into a large day cohort is a different product from a regional residence that stays full. Visit if you can. Ask who is on duty after lights-out.

Research only. Contact the school directly for handbooks, fee PDFs and place availability. We do not enrol students and we do not speak for any Western Australian campus.

Western Australia makes travel a first-class field. North-west FIFO patterns, wheatbelt drives and Esperance flights are not edge cases in this hub — they are why some residences exist. Ask who is on the tarmac at term start and how a delayed aircraft is handled. A Claremont house that assumes a local weekend host is a different product.

Read every WA profile for what kind of residence it is. A conventional independent-school house, a residential college serving more than one campus, and a community-directed school are not interchangeable. We would rather a card look cautious than invent a grammar quadrangle that is not there.

Perth metropolitan boarding still follows the national Saturday-night test. Large day schools empty. Houses that stay full feel different. Guildford’s town setting is not Peppermint Grove. Bunbury is not a cheaper Claremont. Confirm current boarding before you relocate a household on a rumour.

Fees in WA pick up flights. Weekly board can be irrational if home is a two-stage air journey. Request the schedule anyway — structure still matters — but do not let an archived “Perth boarding costs” paragraph choose the house.

International and interstate families verify CRICOS independently. This directory is not an education agent. We do not quote visa rules as if we were the Department of Home Affairs.

Research only. Shortlist, write to admissions, and treat every ranking URL as a filter. We do not enrol students in Western Australia.

Perth weekday board can make sense for families in the metropolitan corridor and almost no sense for a north-west fly-in. Ask which nights are included before you treat two WA quotes as comparable. Full board plus a pastoral weekend programme is a different invoice and a different childhood week.

Aboriginal community-directed and residential-college listings in this hub deserve a slower read, not a faster skip. They are public facts with different governance. Do not flatten them into “Perth boarding schools” as if they were a fourth Anglican college. Open the profile. Then contact that organisation directly.

Related WA reading: type × city Perth filters, the national gender pathways, `/fees/`, `/international-students/`, and `/list/`. Official starting points remain ABSA, Study Australia and CRICOS — not a forum screenshot of last year’s dollar figure.
