None is universally better
A girls’ house inside a large day school can be socially rich and residentially quiet. A boys’ house with a loud Saturday sport culture can be a home or a mismatch. A regional co-ed campus can stay fuller on weekends because home is far. Those are logistics, not morals. Match the week to the child.
Siblings complicate the brochure. Brothers rarely board on a girls’ campus. Sisters rarely board on a boys’ campus. Some co-ed campuses can take both and still run different leave rules. Ask both offices. Get the year you need in writing.
